When session dates and locations are confirmed, details will be posted on this page.they will appear here. Registration is recommended where available.

What to expect at a session

Claimant Support Sessions provide free, one-on-one support from Claims Helpers in a safe and respectful setting. Support may include:

  • An information session about the Federal Indian Hospitals Settlement and the Claims Process
  • One-on-one support with understanding the Claim Form
  • Support with identification questions or documents
  • Help understanding letters from the Claims Administrator
  • Connections to wellness or cultural supports where available

Everyone moves through the Claims Process differently. Claims Helpers will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Claims Helpers do not decide compensation and cannot provide legal advice or confirm eligibility.

Preparing for a session

If possible, bring:

  • One piece of government-issued identification, preferably photo identification
  • Any letters or documents related to your Claim
  • A notebook or support person, if that feels helpful to you

If you do not have identification or documents, you can still attend a session and speak with a Claims Helper about available support.
