How to start your Claim

The Claims Process has several steps. You can begin when you feel ready.

Start your Claim

Go to the online Claims Portal or choose another option such as mail, email, or fax. A Claims Helper can help you decide.

Share your experience

You will be asked specific questions about your admission to a Federal Indian Hospital and your experience while you were there.

Submit your completed Claim

Once submitted, your Claim will be reviewed through a multi-step process that includes eligibility review and assessment.

Indigenous Services Canada provides dedicated cultural and emotional support services for those affected by the Settlement.
